Post Haste is a chef-driven neighborhood restaurant and award-winning cocktail bar located on Frankford Avenue at the border of East Kensington and Fishtown in the beloved 19125 zip code.
Led by Executive Chef Ari Miller and owner and
Bar Director Fred Beebe, Post Haste brings together seasonal, ingredient-driven cooking and a farm-to-glass beverage program shaped by regional sourcing, close producer relationships and collaboration between the kitchen and bar.
Miller, the former chef-owner of Musi and Philadelphia Magazine’s 2019 Best Chef, leads a menu that moves between house-made pasta, vegetable-driven dishes, regional meats and seafood, playful snacks and late-night favorites. His approach emphasizes seasonality, technique and finding thoughtful uses for ingredients throughout their life cycle.
Beebe, who was named a Rising Star Bartender by Starchefs in 2024, leads the restaurant’s nationally recognized beverage program, which features spirits, beer, wine, produce, herbs and mixers sourced from the Eastern United States. The menu includes seasonal originals, creative takes on classic cocktails and thoughtful zero-proof options.
Post Haste was named one of Esquire’s Best Bars in America and one of Punch’s Best New Bars in 2024.
At its core, Post Haste is a place to settle in after the rush (Haste) of the day, whether for a full dinner, cocktails, late-night food or a casual neighborhood gathering.

about post haste

Post Haste’s menus are shaped by relationships with regional farmers, growers,
cheesemakers and other independent producers. We were awarded the Slow Food Snail of Approval 2026 for embodying the values of the core values of
good, clean, and fair food.
Selected partners include:
Mycopolitan Mushroom Company
Happy Valley Meat Company
Valley Shepherd Creamery
Lancaster Farm Fresh Cooperative
Bhumi Growers
Keiser Pheasantry
Green Meadow Farm
These relationships help the kitchen and bar work with seasonal produce, regional meats, dairy and other ingredients sourced closer to home.
This regional approach is one part of Post Haste’s broader commitment to more thoughtful sourcing and less waste. The kitchen and bar also share ingredients across their programs, finding practical uses for items such as whey, wine, brines, peels and trim whenever possible.
